Fourth Degree Assembly

Emblem of the 4th degree
The Fourth Degree Assembly is composed of men dedicated to living out all four principles of the Order: charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Through our service as the patriotic arm of the Knights, we seek to promote active Catholic citizenship in our community.

Who We Are

The Knights of Columbus John Francis Cardinal O’Hara Assembly #3600 is an assembly of Fourth Degree Knights based out of Notre Dame, Indiana. Our membership is composed largely of current Notre Dame and Holy Cross College students, faculty, and staff. Our mission is to promote Catholic citizenship amongst our members, as well as to live out the Patriotic principle of the Knights of Columbus through our interactions with the local community. We are one of two college-based Fourth Degree Assemblies in the United States.

What We Do

Over the past few years, the John Francis Cardinal O’Hara Assembly has been active both on and off the campus of the University of Notre Dame. We’ve cosponsored annual prayer services for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, provided an honor guard for Marian Processions, and participated in several other campus events. Many of our members have volunteered their time in the local community, spending time to help disadvantaged youth and mothers in crisis pregnancies. This year, we plan to build upon our previous work through extensive outreach and engagement with the greater St. Joseph’s County community.
