A junior from Dallas, Texas, David is studying Economics with a minor in History and a concentration in Financial Economics and Econometrics. As Grand Knight, he serves as the council's chief executive, providing leadership and ensuring that the council's many parts operate smoothly.
Deputy Grand Knight
Nicholas is a junior from Grand Blanc, Michigan, and is a proud ’Roo of Keough Hall. Nicholas is studying Political Science and History with a minor in Constitutional Studies. He worked at the Knights of Columbus Supreme Headquarters' legal department in New Haven, CT, this past summer, and hopes to attend law school after graduation.
A junior from South Bend, Indiana, Will is a Theology and Peace Studies major, and is the second Spretnjak brother to serve as Warden as his brother Mark did in 2018-2019. As the Warden, Will is always around the building helping to maintain a welcoming and fun environment for Knights and their guests.
A junior from New Jersey double-majoring in Computer Science and Economics, Mike Dugan is a resident of the Dillon community in Baumer Hall. He is also serves as Faithful Navigator of Notre Dame's Knights of Columbus Assembly #3600. This past summer, he worked as a Network Cloud Quality Assurance Intern at AT&T Labs.
A junior from North Little Rock, Arkansas, Thomas is studying Civil Engineering. A resident of Siegfried Hall, he is looking forward to leading Steak Sales for the 2019. He is the proud inventor of the Cookie Steak Sandwich, a steak sandwich with chocolate chip cookies as the bun.
A senior from New Jersey, Michael lives in Duncan Hall and studies Accountancy. Self-appointed the council's bagel connoisseur, he unfortunately is unable to use his position as Treasurer to improve the quality of bagels in the Knights building because South Bend has no suitable bagels for purchase.
A sophomore from Mishawaka, Indiana, Pat lives in Knott Hall in a hallway full of other Knights. Academically, he is studying Theology and Mathematics. This past summer, he was a Totus Tuus Mentor and is looking forward to running the Knights religious activities this year.
A junior from San Antonio, Texas, Sam is majoring in History and Economics. Sam is the council's Recorder, meaning that all important council communication will come from him. A lover of the Republic of Texas, Sam spent the summer working as a Senate Intern in Washington, D.C.
Brennan is a rising senior from Albany, NY, studying Political Science, Theology, and History, and living in Knott Hall. As outside guard, he is looking forward to working to continue Council 1477's tradition of service as well as maintaining a consistent presence on the front porch during the warmer months (he takes his job title seriously!).
A Notre Dame alumnis, Ben is an Investment Analyst with the University of Notre Dame's Investment Office. Previously the council's Advocate, Ben holds the title of the best smoker in the council for his delicious smoked ribs.
A Notre Dame alumnus with degrees in both Philosophy and Chemical Engineering, Nathaniel twice served as the council's Grand Knight. After traveling the world as a teacher, Nathaniel holds the record for most broadly traveled out of all the council's officers.
A senior living in Stanford Hall studying Mechanical Engineering and Classics, Jimmy hails from outside Boston, Massachusetts. Previously the council's Grand Knight for 2018-2019, Jimmy is the famous host of a root beer keg party which was perhaps the most attended party in Stanford all year.
A sophomore from outside of Boston, Patrick lives in Stanford Hall along with his older brother Jimmy. One of the council's funniest members, Patrick holds the title of council jokester along with his position handling the council's membership paperwork.
A senior from Naperville, Illinois, Kevin is studying Economics, Political Science, and Theology. Having spend Spring 2019 in Dublin, Kevin now lives in Knott Hall. A former Deputy Grand Knight, Kevin handles the council's fundraising efforts as well as council technology.
A senior from Fort Worth, Texas, David is a history major and a proud otter of Sorin College, the oldest and greatest dorm on campus. He plays the trumpet in marching band and spent his summer serving as a Public Relations Intern for the South Bend Common Council.
Prof. Michael Pries
A professor in Notre Dame's Departments of Economics and a Notre Dame alumnus, Prof. Pries focuses his research and teaching on macroeconomic labor markets and financial economics. Prof. Pries provides oversight over the council's finances and serves as the council's faculty adviser.
Fr. Brian Ching, CSC
A Holy Cross priest and a double Domer, Fr. Brian serves as the Rector of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and of Old College Undergraduate Seminary. Fr. Brian provides spiritual guidance for the council, helping to keep the Sacraments and prayer at the heart of the council's work.
